Meanwhile, the number of income tax returns filed across Pakistan has exceeded 6.815 million, according to sources.

More than 4.5 million individuals outside the salaried class have filed their returns, while over 2.2 million salaried individuals have submitted their tax returns.

During the corresponding period last year, more than 5.2 million income tax returns had been filed, indicating a significant increase in filings this year.

Under the tax scheme for small retailers, 1,473 traders have filed income tax returns, including 137 new traders and 1,336 existing participants, according to sources.
