foodpanda, Pakistan’s largest online delivery network, has partnered with local restaurant chains Burger Lab and Greeno to host separate appreciation events for delivery riders, recognizing their role in the country’s food delivery ecosystem.
The events included the presentation of official Appreciation Certificates to riders, followed by sit-down meals hosted by the restaurant partners. The gatherings brought restaurant management and delivery riders together outside their usual day-to-day interactions at restaurant counters.
Delivery riders often have limited interaction with restaurant staff as they collect orders for customers. The appreciation events provided an opportunity for riders and restaurant teams to spend time together, share experiences and recognize the work involved in completing deliveries across busy roads and challenging weather conditions.
Khawaja Shariq Mustafa, Commercial Director at foodpanda Pakistan, said delivery riders connect local businesses with customers and welcomed the efforts by Burger Lab and Greeno to recognize their contribution.
He said stronger relationships between restaurant partners and riders can support greater mutual respect across the delivery industry and acknowledged the restaurant partners for recognizing the riders’ work.
The events are part of foodpanda’s wider engagement with its nationwide network of restaurant and vendor partners. The company said it will continue initiatives focused on rider recognition, collaboration and community-building across Pakistan.
