The Pakistan Petroleum Exploration & Production Companies Association (PPEPCA) has elected Oil & Gas Development Company Limited (OGDC) Managing Director and CEO Ahmed Hayat Lak as its new Chairman, alongside senior leadership appointments representing ORLEN S.A. and MOL Pakistan.

Andrzej Kaczorowski, Managing Director of ORLEN S.A. (POGC), has been elected Senior Vice Chairman, while Ali Murtaza Abbas, Regional Vice President of MOL Pakistan B.V., will serve as Vice Chairman.

The elections to PPEPCA's Executive Committee took place during the Association's 33rd Annual General Meeting on September 28, 2026. The office bearers were subsequently elected at an Executive Committee meeting held on October 26.

The Executive Committee congratulated the newly elected leadership, expressing confidence that their experience would strengthen industry representation, encourage investment and support sustainable growth in Pakistan's exploration and production (E&P) sector.

It particularly welcomed Lak's appointment, citing OGDC's position as Pakistan's largest oil and gas exploration and production company and its contribution to the country's energy sector. His chairmanship is expected to support engagement with government and regulatory authorities and address policy and operational challenges facing the industry.

PPEPCA Secretary General Ibrar Khan reaffirmed the Secretariat's commitment to working with the new leadership and Executive Committee on the Association's mandate, with priorities including investment, sustainable growth and Pakistan's energy security.

The newly elected office bearers also expressed their commitment to collectively representing member companies and advancing the industry's shared interests.

The Committee paid tribute to outgoing Chairman Masood Nabi, Managing Director and CEO of Government Holdings (Private) Limited, acknowledging his leadership and efforts to represent the E&P sector's concerns before relevant government forums during his tenure.
