PSL 12 to be played from March 18 to May 2
The Pakistan Cricket Board has confirmed that PSL 12 will run from March 18 to May 2, 2027, with all eight franchises returning for a second successive season.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed that the 12th edition of the Pakistan Super League will be played from March 18 to May 2, 2027, with all eight franchises returning for the second consecutive season.
The PSL 12 window was finalised following consultations with the owners and representatives of all eight franchises during a meeting of the PSL Governing Council in London on September 1.
The PCB said the detailed schedule, venues and ticketing arrangements will be announced later.
The upcoming season will retain the expanded eight-team format introduced in PSL 11 after the addition of Hyderabad Kingsmen and Rawalpindiz. The 2026 season also marked the first time the league replaced its traditional player draft with an auction.
The 2026 edition set several new benchmarks for the league, including a record crowd of 32,461 at Gaddafi Stadium for the final.
Peshawar Zalmi won the 11th edition, defeating Hyderabad Kingsmen by five wickets in the final on May 3, 2026, to claim their second PSL title.
With the PSL 12 window now confirmed, the next stages of preparations will include direct signings, player retentions, the trade window and the player auction.
The PCB said further details regarding the auction, venues and ticketing will be announced in due course.
