Geely launches three models in Pakistan through Bestway Group
Geely has officially entered Pakistan with three models through Bestway Group, which aims to bring locally assembled vehicles to Pakistani roads within the next few months.

Chinese automotive giant Geely Auto has officially launched in Pakistan through Bestway Group, introducing three models as the conglomerate expands into the country's automotive sector.
The launch ceremony was held at Park View City in Islamabad and attended by Bestway Group founder Sir M. Anwar Pervez, Group Chairman Lord Zameer Choudrey, senior executives from both organisations, industry leaders and members of the media.
The three models introduced for the Pakistani market are the Geely EX2, a compact electric hatchback; the EX5, an all-electric SUV; and the Starray EM-R, a range-extended electric vehicle (REEV).
Bestway Automotive, Geely's sole authorised distributor in Pakistan, will oversee vehicle sales, after-sales support and the brand's development in the local market.
Geely plans local assembly in Karachi
The partnership also includes plans for local vehicle assembly, with Bestway preparing its Karachi facility for the next phase of Geely's operations in Pakistan.
Irfan Sheikh, Group Managing Director for Non-Banking Businesses at Bestway Group Pakistan, said the company aims to bring locally assembled Geely vehicles to Pakistani roads within the next few months.
He described the launch as the first step in a partnership that combines Bestway's experience in investing in Pakistan with Geely's international automotive expertise.
The company said it intends to establish Geely as a recognised and trusted name in Pakistan, while developing long-term relationships with customers.
Three models target different mobility needs
The Geely EX2 is a compact, fully electric hatchback designed for urban driving, while the EX5 is a fully electric SUV.
The third model, the Starray EM-R, uses range-extended electric vehicle technology. It combines electric driving with an onboard petrol engine that can generate electricity to support the battery and extend the vehicle's driving range.
The three models give Pakistani consumers options across the compact electric car and SUV segments, alongside a range-extended electric vehicle.
Geely's entry comes as the company seeks to bring its engineering, technology and vehicle range to Pakistan through its partnership with Bestway. Prices and booking details were not provided in the launch announcement.
Bestway expands its investment in Pakistan
Haider Choudrey, Group Chief Executive Officer of Bestway Group, said Geely's arrival marks another milestone in the group's investment in Pakistan.
According to Choudrey, Bestway has invested more than USD 350 million in Pakistan over the past three years through businesses including cement manufacturing and banking, creating more than 20,000 jobs and supporting livelihoods.
He said the partnership with Geely could create opportunities for local manufacturing, employment generation, skills development and a stronger automotive supply chain.
The group also expects the partnership to give Pakistani consumers greater choice and access to international automotive technology.
Pakistan becomes Geely's first South Asian market
Evin Ye, vice president of GAIC and managing director of Geely Auto ASEAN, said Pakistan is Geely's first market in South Asia and offers significant potential for the company.
He described the partnership as a long-term commitment to expanding the business, strengthening customer support and providing Pakistani families with safe, intelligent and high-quality mobility options.
The launch also introduces Geely's global brand philosophy, “See the World in Full”, which emphasises the role of mobility in creating better experiences and enabling people to explore new possibilities.
Through the partnership, Bestway and Geely aim to build lasting customer relationships and contribute to the development of Pakistan's automotive industry.
