Jazz Business strengthens Rescue 1122 emergency response with mission-critical communication system

The Jazz Business Rescue 1122 communication solution has been deployed for the Punjab Emergency Services Department to support emergency response operations in remote and flood-affected areas where conventional networks may be disrupted or unavailable.

The deployment combines Jazz’s digital connectivity with Hytera’s professional communications technology to provide Rescue 1122 teams with dedicated communication nodes and rapidly deployable tactical network relays. The infrastructure is designed to extend coverage across difficult terrain, isolated communities and areas affected by flooding.

At the centre of the system is a centralized Command and Control Dispatch System integrated with digital Push-to-Talk radios. The system gives Rescue 1122 operators real-time visibility of field operations and allows regional command centres to communicate with rescue personnel and coordinate emergency vehicles.

Dispatchers can also assign and track vehicles through interactive mapping interfaces while monitoring operational resources and their availability. The setup is designed to support emergency teams when traditional communication infrastructure is inaccessible.

Shahzad Rasheed, President Enterprise Solutions, JazzWorld, said natural disasters can severely disrupt conventional infrastructure, making effective coordination particularly important during emergencies. He said the system combines resilient field communications with centralized command-and-control capabilities to help Rescue 1122 coordinate teams and respond to emergencies across Punjab.

The solution has been developed for high-availability performance in demanding environmental conditions and is intended to support large-scale disaster management and off-grid emergency interventions.
